What is SEO, and how does it help your business?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) entails optimising your website for search engines. The 3 major search engines are Google, Yahoo and Bing. We are all familiar with Google and how to search. We generally click on a listing when Google lists the websites with the information we want.
Google list your website based on Relevance so more than 88% of people click on organic listings. Organic listings can be found on left hand side or at the bottom of Google. Relevance is the keywords in your search, the content on your website and traffic. (Together with how websites are optimised – SEO).
When your website gets listed on the 1st page of Google, you get:
Drive more traffic to your website.
Attract potential customers.
Drive more sales
Our analysis proves that there are on average 12 times more Google searches for your products. This is way better marketing than placing an ad in the Sunday times newspaper.
How does SEO work and what is the process?
SEO is not an overnight sensation where you will see success the next day. It generally takes about 3 to 6 months to Google to index / crawl your website and assign your website a rank. This is according to Google’s disclaimer but we tend to do this much faster.
Ranking is dependent on your industry type, the number of competitors etc.. We can’t tell you when your website is going to rank (nobody can). We are all at the mercy of Google (who will never disclose this info) and nobody knows for sure!
Some of our clients ranks within a couple of days. Some rank the 1st week while others take a couple of months to rank. It is all dependant on the Google algorithm, and the indexing schedule – which nobody knows.
We conduct an analysis on your website to see if search engines can crawl and index it. Continuous analysis of your website are done monthly by optimizing each web page. We also track website traffic and trends, track the keyword performance on Google etc… We then identifying potential issues with your website from a search engine perspective.
